The trio made Division 3 Monroeville the first school in American high school wrestling history to crown three four-time state wrestling champions in the same year. All three are ranked No. 1 nationally at their weight classes by WIN magazine. Stieber (135) and Tessari (140) are both committed to Ohio State University, while Phillips (171) will attend North Carolina State University. All three won their titles in dominating fashion. Stieber finished 54-0 and recorded three pins and an 8-1 decision, finishing his career with a 193-2 record. Tessari, who finished 52-1, had a pin, a pair of technical falls and an 11-4 finals decision, and posted a 187-6 career mark. Phillips (51-0), who won all four state titles at 171, had three major decisions along with an 8-6 decision in the semifinals. His career record was 193-1.
